The 17.Z1.C04-1000 is a sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB as part of the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Designed to sit between an inverter and motor terminals, the unit smooths the pulse-width-modulated output so that windings receive a nearly sinusoidal waveform. By limiting high-frequency components, it reduces conducted emissions, dampens cable-borne voltage spikes, and helps drive systems meet plant-level EMC limits in industrial automation. This output conditioning also helps reduce stress on motor insulation when long cable runs are used.
The filter is intended for three-phase mains grids at a nominal line voltage of 400 V; it accommodates standard industrial supplies running at 50/60 Hz. Under these conditions, the choke and capacitor network can pass a continuous phase current of 44.1 A without saturation, and it tolerates overloads up to 150% for 60 s/10 min so short production surges do not compromise attenuation performance.
