The 16.Z1.C04-1000 sine wave EMC filter is produced by KEB within the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. As an output filter for AC drives, it reshapes the pulse-width-modulated voltage from an inverter into a near-sinusoidal waveform before it reaches the motor. By smoothing edges and limiting common-mode noise, the unit helps protect motor insulation and reduces electromagnetic interference in industrial automation lines that run three-phase variable-frequency drives.
Electrically, the filter is optimized for drive systems that operate on a rated line voltage of 400 VAC and a continuous current of 34.7 A. These ratings mean the component can be placed between an inverter delivering up to 15 kW of output power and a motor without reaching thermal limits. A maximum permissible line potential of 440 V offers headroom for transients on a three-phase grid, while compatibility with the standard 50 Hz line frequency simplifies use. The internal bus bars accept cables up to 16 mm², and the three-phase topology is arranged so that each coil shares the same magnetic path.
