Product Description:
The 14.Z1.F04-1010 is a three-phase sine-wave electromagnetic compatibility filter produced by KEB within the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between an inverter and an induction motor, the unit reshapes the pulse-width-modulated drive output into a near sinusoidal voltage, which lowers dv/dt stress, suppresses common-mode noise, and minimizes bearing currents in industrial automation systems. By smoothing high-frequency components, it also permits longer motor cables and helps connected equipment comply with conducted emission limits on factory power networks.
The filter is designed for a nominal line voltage of 400 VAC. At this operating level, it can pass a rated current of 16.5 A without exceeding its thermal class. The iron-powder core provides an inductance of 0.72 mH, which helps attenuate harmonics generated when the upstream inverter switches at 2 kHz. The resulting waveform supports motor frequencies up to 100 Hz, enabling four-pole machines to run at double synchronous speed while still receiving sinusoidal excitation. Mechanical integration is straightforward, with a housing width of 148 mm, a height of 78 mm, and screw clamps for all three phases positioned on the top face.
For transient events, the filter withstands peaks up to 550 V, providing margin for regenerative overvoltage and supply fluctuations. Steady-state conduction losses are limited to 37 W, so enclosure temperatures remain manageable with normal cabinet airflow. The assembly weighs 2.8 kg, making panel mounting practical even when it is placed next to contactors and breakers. A depth of 145 mm leaves clearance in 200 mm deep cabinets for cable routing and ventilation. Its compact enclosure also suits control panels where adjacent power components and wiring paths leave limited free space.
