The 10.Z1.G03-1006 is a passive line filter manufactured by KEB for the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed between a variable-frequency drive and its motor, it reshapes the carrier-based output into a near-sinusoidal waveform, lowering electromagnetic emissions and limiting insulation stress in industrial automation systems. By smoothing the voltage, the device protects both the motor windings and adjacent control electronics while allowing the drive to operate at elevated carrier frequencies without shortening equipment service life. The passive topology adds no active switching elements, so it works as a fixed output-conditioning stage between the inverter and the motor.
The filter is classified as a Sine Wave Filter, meaning its passive network converts the inverter’s rectangular pulses into a sinusoidal output and delivers effective dv/dt attenuation at the motor terminals. It is rated for a line-to-line voltage of 440 VAC on a three-phase system and can carry a continuous load of 10 A. These limits keep losses and temperature rise within normal operating range when the filter is matched to the connected drive and motor. The component maintains this performance with drive carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz, which helps reduce audible motor noise while limiting electrical stress at the motor terminals.
