Product Description:
The 07.Z1.G03-1004 is an EMC output filter manufactured by KEB and included in the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Installed on the load side of a variable-frequency drive, it reshapes the PWM voltage into a nearly sinusoidal signal, easing dielectric stress on motor insulation and lowering conducted emissions inside automated machinery. The device supports three-phase installations where long cable runs, bearing currents, or stringent plant limits call for smoother waveforms without changing the existing inverter control strategy.
During continuous duty, the filter carries a nominal current of 4 A on supplies rated at 3 × 230 VAC. Its LC network is tuned for inverter carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz, keeping the output sinusoidal without excessive attenuation. Thermal loss is limited to 20 W, so normal cabinet airflow usually suffices. The housing is rated at IP20, providing protection against accidental contact but not sealing the terminals against water. Series resistance is 260 mΩ, and the arrangement supports a three-phase plus protective earth system with the protective earth connected to an M4 stud. The housing measures 160 mm in both width and height, simplifying alignment when mounted inside a 246 mm deep compartment.
During dynamic events such as motor acceleration, the assembly tolerates a short-term surge of 7.2 A for 30 seconds without exceeding thermal limits. Its passband supports a maximum motor fundamental frequency of 1700 Hz, allowing high-speed spindles to remain within the permitted operating range. At 1600 Hz, the voltage drop introduced by the filter is limited to 20%, permitting full torque delivery while still attenuating high-frequency components. The laminated core and windings bring the total mass to 4 kg, allowing DIN-rail or backplate mounting without extra support. The overall depth is 246 mm. Natural convection clearance around the enclosure fins helps keep the winding temperature within its operating limits.
