Product Description:
The 07.Z1.C04-1001 is a sine-wave electromagnetic-compatibility filter manufactured by KEB as part of the Z1 Sine Wave EMC Filters series. Positioned on the output side of a variable-frequency drive, the device smooths high-frequency switching edges so the downstream motor receives a clean sinusoidal waveform. This limits motor insulation stress, curbs radiated emissions, and helps nearby sensors operate without interference in compact industrial automation panels that rely on inverters rated at 0.75 kW. It is well suited for installations where sensitive wiring and motor leads run in close proximity inside the same enclosure.
The filter’s continuous service voltage is 400 VAC, matching the standard three-phase mains used by many drives. A maximum current of 2.4 A is the highest RMS load the windings can carry without exceeding their thermal limit, while the peak line voltage tolerance of 440 V provides headroom during supply fluctuations or regenerative events. It is tuned for a fundamental grid frequency of 50 Hz, and harmonic attenuation begins above this point to target the inverter’s switching spectrum. Internally dissipated power reaches 40 W at full load, which is useful when planning cabinet ventilation. The terminals accept 4 mm² conductors to simplify wiring with the drive’s output contactor, and convection cooling avoids the need for forced airflow.
An enclosure rating of IP20 protects the filter against accidental contact while still allowing heat to escape. The unit has a mass of 2.6 kg, so it can be DIN-rail mounted without heavy support brackets. Cabinet layout is eased by a width of 148 mm and a depth of 163 mm, while the 69 mm height lets the unit fit beneath other control layers. Three identical phases share the magnetic core to maintain symmetrical attenuation, and the design keeps PWM voltage harmonic distortion below 39% and input current distortion under 15%. Natural convection supports this arrangement without additional fans.
