Product Description:

KEB 15.F6.K12-3521 is a F6 Combivert Inverter Drive. It has a compact control type. This inverter drive has safety module type 1/STO at control type K. STO (Safe Torque Off) is a feature that prevents accidental startup of the drive. The Safe Torque Off feature ensures that the drive is free from torque to prevent accidental restart and stop it safely. STO plays a major role in a machine or system with a rotary axis (for instance, handling equipment, conveyor systems etc.). It has 3 phases and the voltage of this Combivert inverter drive is 400V AC/DC. Its connection is made by a braking transistor. The switching frequency of this inverter drive is 4 kHz. Switching frequency refers to the rate at which a switch on the inverter drive turns 'on' and 'off'. This is a significant feature that influences the working of the inverter.

Switching frequency plays a crucial role in inverter drive performance. Higher switching frequencies can lead to increased power losses but can effectively reduce the size of components such as inductors, transformers, capacitors, and resistors. However, they also elevate the risk of damaging bearing currents. Lower switching frequencies produce poor digital output and increase motor losses, thus affecting efficiency. Interestingly, higher frequencies tend to minimize audible noise, benefiting applications sensitive to sound. Thus, selecting the optimal switching frequency requires balancing these factors to enhance overall inverter performance and reliability in various applications.

It has the software's current limit of 150 %. The turn-off current of this inverter is 180%. It has multi encoder interface CAN, STO, and VARAN. A heat sink version is also present in this inverter drive. The relative humidity of this inverter is 5...95% (without condensation).
