Product Description:
The G7.56.20A-3389 drive is an axis inverter module produced by KEB and assigned to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts single-phase utility power into a regulated three-phase output to control induction or synchronous motors in automated machinery. Within a motion cell, it provides speed and torque control so conveyors, indexing tables, or lightweight actuators can be synchronized with higher-level PLC sequences. The module is suited to compact machine sections where motor power conversion and responsive axis control need to be handled by one drive, reducing the need for separate power hardware in the axis section.
It is designed for 50/60 Hz networks and draws power on one phase, then delivers a balanced three-phase output to the motor. Under nominal loading, the inverter supplies 4.5 A of current and is rated for 1.8 kVA of apparent power. The output bridge feeds the machine motor with three-phase output and supports either two-pole or four-pole machines with a continuous output of 0.75 kW. Speed feedback is accepted through a UVW encoder interface, while the integrated auxiliary signal port provides TTL-level pulses for external counters or controllers. All power terminals require a minimum conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm² to remain within the stated thermal limits.
The control section is protected by a 0.4 A fuse, the intermediate DC link by a 6 A cartridge, and the mains input by a 20 A fuse so faults can be isolated at different points in the power path. The open-chassis design carries an IP00 protection rating, so the unit must be installed inside an enclosed control panel because the housing does not provide finger-safe protection on its own. It can be installed up to 3000 m above sea level. Above that altitude, output power derates by 1% for every additional 100 m, and panel ventilation must support continuous operation.
