Product Description:
The E2.F5.SBD-325C is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB and included in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit conditions line power and modulates it into a three-phase output that governs the speed and torque of connected motors. It links PLC motion commands to actual shaft movement, making it suitable for conveyor sections, pick-and-place axes, and other coordinated tasks found throughout automated production cells.
The power stage is dimensioned for a continuous motor phase current of 7 A, which is the thermal limit during steady operation. At zero speed, the drive can hold load with a standstill current of 9 A, preventing back-driving on vertical axes. Under nominal conditions, it regulates a rotor speed of 3000 rpm from a 150 Hz stator frequency and a rated torque of 11 Nm. Short duty peaks can be covered with up to 80.12 Nm of shaft torque, giving adequate margin for rapid indexing or shock loads. Electrical losses are influenced by the copper path impedance of 2 Ω and by the 8.2 mH winding inductance, while the voltage constant of 136 V/1000 rpm links back-EMF to speed for drive tuning.
The control interface supports a digital input range of 13 to 30 VDC, allowing direct connection of standard sensor outputs without additional level shifting. Control electronics remain active during main power outages by means of an auxiliary supply of 20 to 30 VDC, 1 A. Actual motor speed is mirrored on an analog monitor line that delivers 0 to ±10 VDC = 0 to ±3000 rpm, and a stable reference output of +10 VDC at 4 mA is provided for external potentiometers. For control of brakes or contactors, an isolated relay is rated at 30 VDC, 0.01 to 1 A. Command data can also be fed through Set Value Input 1, which accepts 0 to ±10 VDC at 12-bit resolution. The unit belongs to size 14 in the 400 V voltage class, matching mid-power axes in multi-drive cabinets.
