Product Description:
The 39.F5.A1P-B0-H axis drive is produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It controls large asynchronous and synchronous motors in industrial automation by converting high-voltage mains power into regulated output for torque, speed, or position control on presses, winders, and similar heavy-duty machinery. Its P-style housing accepts a standard control board, allowing parameter sets to be loaded directly from the keypad or through a fieldbus connection.
The drive operates within a voltage class of 690 V and connects to a three-phase mains network, allowing direct connection to common high-voltage switchgear. Under continuous load, the inverter can deliver up to 900 kW of motor output through a rated armature current of 1015 A. During acceleration or transient overloads, the current ceiling rises to 1250 A, providing headroom for large-inertia loads without a substantial loss of speed. The standard control board supports open-loop and closed-loop operating modes, accommodating applications that use basic speed regulation as well as those that require motor feedback. An internal configuration of three parallel power modules distributes the electrical load and associated heat across multiple power sections. This arrangement supports the high current capacity required by large motors while reducing the thermal concentration within an individual section.
The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, protecting internal components against contact with fingers and objects larger than 12.5 mm while requiring installation inside a suitable cabinet. The housing has a width of 340 mm, a depth of 454 mm, and a height of 960 mm, permitting vertical mounting inside industrial switchboards with sufficient clearance for wiring and airflow. An earth-fault monitor and a short-circuit monitor continuously supervise the output phases, helping the drive respond to insulation failures and excessive fault currents. The integrated brake chopper is designated as GTR7 and supports connection to an external discharge resistor for dissipating regenerated energy. This braking arrangement manages energy returned to the DC bus when a connected motor decelerates or when an overhauling load drives the motor.
