The 38.F5.A1P-B0-D is an axis drive module produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for plant automation, the unit converts high-voltage mains power into regulated motor power for material-handling systems, processing equipment, and test stands. It can control synchronous or asynchronous motors, allowing the module to support different machine configurations without changes to its power hardware. Open-loop and closed-loop operating modes provide a choice between sensorless control and feedback-based regulation. These control options allow the drive to regulate motor speed or torque according to the selected application parameters.
The drive is rated for a line voltage of 660/690 V AC and provides a continuous output current of 900 A. Its corresponding output power is 800 kW for the stated voltage class. The power-switching components operate at a base frequency of 2 kHz. An IP20 metal housing protects users from accidental finger contact with internal components, but the module must be installed inside a suitable cabinet.
