The 33.F5.A1P-B0-D is a high-power axis drive produced by KEB and assigned to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It is intended for controlling large three-phase induction or synchronous motors on pressing lines, test stands, and other heavy industrial equipment where regulated torque and speed are required. The model uses a Standard Board that provides the base control functions and accepts a three-phase AC supply ranging from 600 to 760 V AC. This input range supports operation on the high-voltage power networks commonly used with large industrial machinery.
Under nominal conditions, the drive delivers 450 kW of mechanical output while supplying the motor with a continuous current of 500 A. A housing code of 2 × P indicates a cabinet footprint suited to parallel power modules, allowing the power section to accommodate the demands of high-output applications. The internal inverter can be clocked at 2/4 kHz to balance audible noise against switching losses. The DC-link and output stages support system voltages of 660/690 V AC, allowing the unit to operate on compatible high-voltage plant networks without an isolating transformer. During brief increases in process demand, the power section can provide additional current for acceleration or sudden load changes.
An integrated braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy during controlled deceleration, while earth-fault and short-circuit monitoring protect the power stage during operation. The drive uses an IP20 open-chassis enclosure, so it must be installed inside a protective cabinet that restricts access and shields it from contaminants. Peak output current reaches 613 A, and the protection logic supervises this limit to prevent excessive thermal loading in the conductors and power components. Operation is permitted from -10 to 40 °C, while storage is permitted from -25 to 70 °C to limit stress on internal components when the unit is not powered. Auxiliary status signals are provided as TTL levels for connection to compatible control equipment. The encoder port accepts incremental TTL feedback through a Sub-D connector, enabling accurate speed measurement and closed-loop regulation for demanding motor applications.
