Product Description:
The 2K.F5.230-0008 is an AC axis drive supplied by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As a closed-loop inverter, it modulates three-phase power to run servo or induction motors in material-handling lines, packaging cells, and other automated equipment. The unit combines power electronics with control and safety circuits so machine builders can regulate speed, torque, and position from a compact panel-mounted module. Its panel-mounted design allows the drive to be integrated into automated systems that require precise control of motor operation.
The control layer offers one differential analog input with an impedance of 55 kΩ, so voltage sources are not heavily loaded, and its resolution of 11 bits plus sign permits fine speed references. A reference pin supplies +10 VDC for external potentiometers, while the analog output can source or sink up to 10 mA for monitoring tasks. Digital inputs conform to the IEC 61131-2 Type 1 profile, enabling direct connection to PLC transistor outputs. The drive acknowledgment signal changes state in less than 1 ms after the Drive Enable line is asserted. An internal braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy produced during motor deceleration. The installed EMI filter helps the device meet conducted-emission limits without requiring an additional module.
An auxiliary 24 VDC input powers the control electronics when the main power is off, and it draws a maximum of 1 A. A separate 24 V terminal can supply 100 mA to connected sensors. The analog feedback port has an output impedance of 100 Ω, helping prevent long cable capacitance from distorting its signals. Two Safe Torque Off channels interrupt the gate signals independently, and each channel supports a load of 100 mA. Each channel requires a starting pulse of 300 mA and is checked every 10 ms to verify proper operation. A form-C relay rated at 1 A switches field signals up to 30 VDC for fault indication or a ready output. The auxiliary supply allows control and diagnostic functions to remain available when the main power circuit is disconnected.
