The 29.F5.A1P-90-D belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series from KEB. It is an AC drive intended for cabinet installation, where it converts three-phase mains power into regulated output for large-frame servo or induction motors used on extruders, presses, and coordinated multi-axis lines. By integrating power electronics with a standard control board, the drive provides closed-loop speed and torque regulation within the Combivert platform.
The drive is powered by a three-phase 400 V AC supply and provides a continuous output of 250 kW. Under nominal conditions, it delivers a phase current of 460 A, while transient overloads can reach 575 A without derating. An internal braking transistor dissipates regenerative energy, so external choppers are unnecessary for most deceleration profiles. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, which provides protection against accidental contact but requires installation in a clean electrical enclosure. A 10 VDC reference output is available for potentiometer speed setpoints, and the relay contact can switch 30 VDC at 1 A for run or fault signaling. The transistor outputs provide a combined current capacity of 50 mA DC for external status indicators or logic inputs. Auxiliary encoder feedback enters through an incremental TTL D-sub connector, and a TTL auxiliary signal output supports follower drives.
