Product Description:
The 23.F5.MBR-YU14 is an inverter module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit functions as a variable-frequency drive that processes three-phase input power and delivers controlled voltage and frequency to induction motors in automated machinery. By applying closed-loop, field-oriented algorithms, it regulates speed and torque with the precision needed for conveyor lines, extruders, and coordinated multi-axis installations.
The drive supports motors with outputs up to 75 kW, providing the continuous mechanical power required by production machinery. Its power stage operates from a nominal line voltage of 400 V. Under these conditions, the rectifier accepts 165 A, and the inverter delivers 150 A of sinusoidal current. The output provides 104 kVA of apparent power, allowing the drive to operate compatible motors under sustained loads. Pulse-width modulation occurs at 8 kHz, so motor noise and torque ripple remain low while switching losses stay manageable. Closed-loop, field-oriented control maintains the flux vector down to the minimum full-load frequency of 3 Hz, supporting accurate motor regulation at low speeds.
During brief acceleration periods, the inverter can supply 225 A, while a trip threshold of 270 A protects the power stage from excessive current. Line protection requires a fuse rated no higher than 200 A. The heat sink sensor initiates a controlled shutdown if the surface temperature reaches 90 °C. Regenerated energy can be dissipated through an external resistor with a minimum resistance of 5 Ω. The drive uses housing form factor R and size U within the 23 frame, and its electrical connection requires a three-phase supply. Shielded motor cables may be installed in runs up to 50 m. The power terminals accept conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 95 mm², accommodating the current capacity of the drive. The unit also supports a motor output ceiling of 100 HP when operated from a 230 V supply.
