The 22.F5.MBR-YU14 is a KEB drive module in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It is an inverter with an internal brake transistor that conditions three-phase line power for vector or V/Hz control of motors rated to 75 horsepower. Within automated machines, the unit executes speed, torque, and position commands supplied by a multi-axis controller, allowing coordinated motion on conveyors, extruders, or material-handling gantries.
The inverter is designed for a three-phase supply at 400 V and draws a nominal 127 A while delivering 115 A to the motor terminals. Its continuous apparent power reaches 80 kVA, so the upstream protection must be sized accordingly, and the main fuse limit is 160 A. A built-in multi-control scheme supports sensorless, encoder-based, and torque-controlled operation without external option cards. Inverter size code 22 and housing form factor R correspond to the mechanical envelope, cooling channel, and mounting hole pattern. Power terminations are clamped to 53 in-lb to maintain stable connections under vibration. The onboard brake transistor eliminates the need for an external dynamic-braking chopper for emergency stops, and the input section routes excess DC bus energy to the configured resistor bank.
