Product Description:
The 22.F5.MBR-Y0VC is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It is used in industrial automation to regulate three-phase induction motors through sensor-based, field-oriented algorithms embedded in the drive processor. By integrating an internal braking transistor with a water-cooled heat sink, the unit forms the primary power interface between the electrical mains and the mechanical load. This arrangement allows precise adjustment of speed, torque, and position under closed-loop control.
During normal operation, the drive accepts a three-phase line at 400 V AC and draws up to 127 A; upstream protection therefore includes a 160 A gG main fuse sized for this current. The B1 power circuit and integrated braking transistor condition the DC bus and manage energy returned when the motor decelerates. Field-oriented control enables a continuous shaft output of 75 HP, delivered with an output current of 115 A while the converter handles an apparent load of 80 kVA. The device can also be connected to a 480 V supply in its unit-B configuration. The input stage tolerates either an AC supply or a rectified AC/DC source without derating. The inverter uses size code 22 and housing form R. Three feedback channels help keep motor slip negligible during rapid load changes.
Short-duration overloads are handled by a peak current capability of 172 A, with an overcurrent trip activating at 207 A to protect the insulated-gate bipolar transistors. Thermal operation is limited by a maximum heat sink temperature of 90 °C. Water cooling keeps the substrate below this limit, and the embedded cooling channel holds 0.4 liters of circulating coolant. Closed-loop torque production remains stable down to a full-load frequency of 3 Hz, allowing conveyors and hoists to operate at low speeds without stalling. The drive maintains three-phase symmetry throughout its operating range. Rated performance requires adequate coolant flow and acceptable supply conditions.
