Product Description:
The KEB 21.F5.HAR-YU50 is a modular AC inverter supplied within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The drive converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a variable output for induction or synchronous motors used in conveyors, process lines, and material-handling cells. By adjusting voltage and frequency, the unit regulates speed and torque so machine controllers can match motor performance to changing load requirements in industrial automation. Its modular design allows it to serve as the motor-control stage within a larger automated system.
The drive is sized for motors up to 60 HP when supplied with 230 V, and its power semiconductors operate at a rated carrier frequency of 8 kHz. The carrier frequency can be set as high as 16 kHz for quieter motor operation. It accepts three-phase power and uses a heat-sink cooling path, so no additional fan module is required in the R-form-factor housing. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which prevents fingers from contacting live components but requires the unit to be installed inside a suitable cabinet. With a mass of 32 kg, the mounting surface must provide adequate structural support, and appropriate lifting equipment should be used during installation. Electrostatic discharge immunity reaches 8 kV, helping the control electronics continue operating when nearby equipment produces high static potentials.
Additional disturbance tolerance is provided by electrical burst immunity of 4 kV and RF field immunity of 10 V/m, allowing the inverter to share an enclosure with contactors, relays, and wireless equipment. Conducted RF susceptibility is limited to 10 V on the supply lines. The ASCL control algorithm maintains speed accuracy without an encoder because no feedback card is installed. Operation is permitted up to an altitude of 2000 m, above which derating is required. The inverter size code 21 indicates the terminal spacing and bus capacitance used for this model within the Combivert platform.
