Product Description:
The 19.F5.MAH-YVZ2 is an axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into a modulated output that follows closed-loop field-oriented control commands, allowing precise vector regulation of induction motors up to 40 HP. By tracking external setpoints and encoder feedback, the drive keeps conveyor speeds, gantry positions, and pump flow rates within tight process tolerances across a wide load range. Its control architecture adjusts the motor output in response to changing operating demands while maintaining stable motion.
Supplied from a three-phase bus of 400 V, the unit draws a continuous line current of 66 A. The inverter section supplies a continuous 60 A at the motor terminals, providing 42 kVA of apparent power for the connected load. Safe thermal operation relies on a maximum heat sink temperature of 90 °C; exceeding this threshold initiates current limiting or shutdown to protect the IGBTs. The control board interprets external reference signals up to 4 mA using an internal 10 VDC source. A liquid-cooled configuration circulates 350 ml of water through the baseplate to stabilize semiconductor junction temperatures during operation.
Each velocity or torque command is processed with a resolution of 12 bit and refreshed every 1 ms, giving the field-oriented algorithm sufficient granularity for low-ripple current vectors. Installation altitude is limited to 2000 m; above this level, lower air density makes derating necessary. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so the drive must be mounted inside a switch cabinet that protects it from conductive dust and dripping liquids. Power leads between the inverter and motor must have a conductor cross section of at least 25 mm² to support the rated current. The three-phase input distributes the electrical load evenly across the connected supply phases.
