Product Description:
The 19.F5.CBH-YA00 is an AC axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It uses a standard heat sink cooling assembly and follows housing form factor H with inverter size code 19. Designed for three-phase grids, the unit can govern squirrel-cage or permanent-magnet motors with outputs up to 40 horsepower. Within an automation cell, it supplies programmable speed and torque commands, allowing coordinated positioning or continuous-duty speed control on conveyors, extruders, and similar loads.
The power section is supplied with 480 V AC and draws a rated input current of 57 A while producing a regulated output current of 52 A. At the rated output current, the inverter delivers 42 kVA, matching midrange machinery that needs constant power delivery without an oversized cabinet. Carrier modulation can be set as high as 16 kHz, a switching rate that minimizes motor noise but increases thermal loading. The application can use the rated carrier frequency of 8 kHz when greater efficiency is preferred. Motor frequency commands are processed up to 599 Hz, so high-speed spindles can be driven directly without mechanical gear ratios. The enclosure meets the IP20 protection rating, providing finger-safe touch protection when the unit is installed inside a closed panel while requiring additional shielding against dust and moisture.
The aluminum heat sink may reach 90 °C before the drive trips, so airflow inside the enclosure must keep its temperature below that threshold. During rated operation, the converter dissipates 540 W through internal losses, which must be considered when sizing the enclosure cooling system for uninterrupted service. Short-term overloads are supported by a peak current of 90 A for 30 seconds. An overcurrent trip activates at 108 A to protect the insulated-gate bipolar transistor power stage from excessive current. The unit has a mass of 14 kg, which supports manageable cabinet installation while providing the structural capacity required for its power section.
