Product Description:
The 19.F5.A1H-35GF is an axis drive module manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It serves as the power stage that converts fixed-frequency line voltage into variable voltage and frequency for synchronous or induction motors used in automated machinery, positioning modules, and coordinated lines. By modulating its output in real time, the unit supports closed-loop speed and torque control for motion systems that use fieldbus communication. This allows the connected motor to accelerate, hold speed, and decelerate in a controlled manner during indexing, conveying, and synchronized machine movement.
The drive’s auxiliary encoder supply uses TTL signal levels, allowing direct feedback interfacing with motion controllers that rely on differential 5 V pulses. A built-in interface supports Hiperface encoders, so absolute position data can be exchanged over two signal pairs without additional converter cards. Command processing and I/O handling are carried out by the factory-installed Standard Board, which provides logic terminals, analog references, and parameter memory. Because the board is installed at the factory, local control signals and reference inputs are available without adding a separate basic interface card. Mechanical layout follows inverter size code 19, which sets the frame dimensions, heat-sink capacity, and cabling clearances. In this size, the drive is rated for applications up to 40 HP at 460 V AC, and it is also used on 230 V systems in the B configuration.
Enclosure format code H identifies the housing geometry used for cabinet installation and airflow routing. A factory-mounted braking transistor permits connection of external resistors so regenerated energy can be dissipated during rapid deceleration, which helps prevent DC bus overvoltage. This arrangement is useful where frequent braking cycles return energy from the motor to the DC bus. The housing format supports panel mounting where directed airflow across the heat sink is needed to remove losses from the power section. As part of the Combivert F5 product family, the drive uses the standard encoder connector and board arrangement associated with this series.
