Internal Product Review
The 19.F5.A1H-YR5G is a KEB F5 Combivert axis drive designed for 400 V AC or AC/DC installations. Two encoder channels and a 300 kHz encoder input limit give feedback processing a precise, responsive feel in motion applications. Eight external digital inputs and 2 relay outputs add useful integration flexibility, making the drive a strong choice for axis control.

Product Description:
KEB manufactures the 19.F5.A1H-YR5G as an axis inverter within its F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit functions as a variable-speed controller that links plant-level commands to induction or servo motors. It supports coordinated motion on packaging lines, conveyors, and tooling stations where controlled acceleration, speed, and deceleration are required. Its Standard Board control platform processes motion commands and manages the connected motor through configurable operating parameters.
The drive supplies up to 40 HP and accepts a 400 V AC or DC input, with three-phase operation available for an AC connection. The size 19 power stack and H-style housing are protected by an IP20 enclosure intended for installation inside a switch cabinet. Two differential analog inputs receive process references from external control equipment. Two analog outputs provide signals of up to 5 mA with 10-bit resolution for monitoring or adjustment functions. Eight external digital inputs and four internal digital inputs use a 2.1 kΩ input resistance with a pull-up network that improves signal stability on field wiring. Two relay outputs and two transistor outputs transmit operating status and fault signals to connected machine controls. The available input and output channels allow the inverter to exchange speed references, operating commands, and diagnostic information with the surrounding automation system.
Two encoder channels accept differential quadrature feedback at frequencies up to 300 kHz, allowing the controller to track motor position and speed during rapid motion. The encoder circuits use a 150 Ω line-end termination to reduce signal reflections and preserve feedback quality across the connected cable. The integrated brake chopper uses a GTR 7 stage to direct regenerated energy to an external braking resistor during deceleration. The controller can store 8 complete parameter records, which can be selected through fieldbus commands when an application changes motors or production formats. This selectable memory allows operating values such as acceleration ramps, speed limits, and motor settings to remain available for different machine processes without entering the data again.
