The 18.F5.K1G-340F is an inverter drive produced by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Intended for multi-axis machinery, the unit converts fixed three-phase mains power into variable voltage and frequency for controlled motor operation. This conversion allows connected motors to start, stop, accelerate, and decelerate in response to commands from a PLC. The drive mounts in the power cabinet between the mains contactor and the motor terminals, where it supplies regulated energy while processing feedback from the connected encoder.
On its I/O header, the drive provides an auxiliary frequency output in TTL format, simplifying direct connection to motion controllers that use 5 V logic.
