Product Description:
The 18.F5.A1H-YR6H drive is part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series produced by KEB. Designed for closed-loop motor control tasks in multi-axis machinery, the unit operates as an inverter that modulates three-phase supply power to match the torque and speed demands of an AC motor. Its housing follows form factor code H, while inverter size code 18 indicates its mechanical dimensions and thermal capacity. A standard control board is mounted inside, and a braking transistor is preinstalled to manage regenerated energy during deceleration.
The control interface is built around an analog front end with 12-bit resolution on each input channel, accepting symmetrical 0 to ±10 V signals for speed or torque references. Two programmable outputs reproduce setpoints with 10-bit resolution. These outputs operate from 0 to ±10 V and are carrier-modulated at 3.4 kHz through a minimum load of 100 Ω. Eight digital inputs accept 13–30 V DC and have a 2.1 kΩ pull-up impedance, while two transistor outputs share 50 mA of sourcing capacity. The local processor samples all inputs and outputs every 1 ms, providing deterministic updates for fast axis coordination with an external PLC.
The drive accepts a supply of 400 V AC or rectified AC/DC power and can continuously deliver up to 30 HP on 480 V installations. This power capacity supports demanding motor loads in coordinated machinery while allowing the inverter to regulate speed and torque through its closed control loop. A dedicated reference line supplies +10 V DC within ±5% for sensor excitation, and the drive can provide 4 mA on that rail to analog devices. For applications requiring greater isolation, a relay output rated at 30 V DC / 1 A is available for fault annunciation or motor-contactor control. The relay provides a separate switching path from the low-voltage analog and transistor interfaces.
