The 17.F5.L1G-YU50 belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series from KEB. The G-sized chassis combines power electronics, logic, and I/O so the unit can work directly with PLCs for speed, torque, and positioning control.
This drive is designed for a rated supply of 3-Phase 400 V and delivers a continuous output of 42 A. That current supports motors up to 25 HP in steady operation. During acceleration or shock loading, the available current rises to 63 A, helping the machine overcome static friction without nuisance trips.
Pulse-width modulation runs at 4 kHz nominally and can be extended to 16 kHz when lower motor noise is needed. The control board samples field signals every 1 ms, keeping command updates closely synchronized with the speed loop. An internal logic rail of 24 V DC supplies the opto-isolated inputs and the relay interface. This arrangement reduces the need for separate auxiliary control power inside the cabinet.
