Product Description:
The 17.F5.DBG-YUDF axis inverter belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series produced by KEB. It is an AC drive module designed to regulate the speed and torque of asynchronous or synchronous motors in multi-axis machinery. Its motor-control functions support coordinated motion in packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and similar automated systems. Closed-loop regulation allows the inverter to respond to changing loads while maintaining the commanded motion profile.
The drive can supply up to 25 HP of mechanical output, allowing a compatible motor to start, accelerate, and operate under load. Auxiliary position or speed data are available through a TTL logic-level output that can connect directly to high-speed counters on a PLC. Rotor feedback enters through a Hiperface interface, providing the control loop with absolute position information after power-up. The inverter uses the manufacturer’s Size 17 frame, which establishes the housing dimensions, heat sink depth, and terminal spacing needed for cabinet installation. An LCD operator with Serial/CAN access is mounted on the front panel and displays operating information such as current and bus voltage. The operator also provides access to the internal peak-output function during drive setup. For Unit B selections, the inverter is configured for 230 V operation, making it suitable for systems that use this supply level.
The enclosure uses a G housing profile, so its mounting holes and airflow channels align with other G-coded modules in the same equipment rack. The Variant D configuration includes reinforced power terminals and expanded input and output headers. Reinforced terminals provide secure connections for the motor and incoming power conductors under demanding operating conditions. The expanded headers accommodate connections to compatible brake resistors or safe torque off boards. Filter, regenerative, and fieldbus options from the wider platform can be connected when required by the drive system.
