Product Description:
The 17.F5.A1H-YR6G is an AC inverter drive manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit has inverter size code 17 and housing form factor H, and it controls induction or synchronous motors in automated machinery. Its standard control board supports regulated speed and torque control for coordinated machine operation. Thirty-nine connection points, including 29 low-level control terminals and 10 power terminals, are arranged along the chassis for logic, feedback, motor, and mains wiring.
The power stage accepts a three-phase 230 V supply and delivers a continuous mechanical output of 18.5 kW. Its line current can reach 84 A, and the drive can operate a motor rated at up to 25 hp within this voltage class. Internal sampling occurs every 1 ms, allowing the current, voltage, and temperature control loops to respond rapidly to changing operating conditions. The steel enclosure has an IP20 rating, making it suitable for cabinet installation where protection against finger contact is required. An auxiliary bus powers the control electronics independently of the main power stage. The integrated braking transistor routes regenerated energy to an external braking resistor when the connected motor decelerates, helping control the DC bus voltage during braking events.
The machine interface includes two analog inputs with 12-bit resolution and two analog outputs with 11-bit resolution. The drive also provides eight digital inputs that accept PNP or NPN logic, along with two open-collector digital outputs for high-speed signaling. Two relay contacts are each rated for 30 VDC at 1 A and provide galvanic isolation for connected valves, contactors, or status circuits. Control input and output devices can use the drive’s internal 24 VDC supply, reducing the need for a separate field-power source. The available analog, digital, solid-state, and relay channels support coordinated command, feedback, and status exchange with the surrounding machine controls.
