The 15.F5.MDE-Y0P0 is a drive module produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As an inverter, it conditions three-phase power for induction or synchronous motors up to 15 HP and executes torque-regulating tasks in automated machinery. The unit supports field-oriented vector control to maintain precise flux alignment between the stator field and the rotor, allowing stable speed and torque regulation across a broad operating range. This operating method helps the drive respond smoothly to load changes during repeated machine cycles.
The drive handles a rated input of 27.3 A from the incoming mains and delivers a continuous output of 21 A to the motor terminals. That current corresponds to a sustained apparent power capability of 17 kVA, which reflects the thermal load the internal IGBTs and bus capacitors can withstand during normal duty. Its control algorithm is field-oriented, so the vector processor resolves current into direct and quadrature components for fast dynamic response.
