Product Description:
The 15.F5.CBE-YA50 is an axis inverter from the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series manufactured by KEB. It is intended to modulate three-phase induction or synchronous motors up to the stated horsepower, allowing speed, torque, and position control in automated lines without an external PLC motion module. Its compact axis-drive format suits equipment that needs motor control and signal handling in one unit. This layout supports stand-alone axis functions in machinery where integrated control is preferred over separate motion hardware.
This drive supplies a continuous mechanical rating of 15 HP on 400 V systems, and the same rating also applies to 230 V Unit B connections. The power stage delivers up to 800 Hz of output frequency, while its carrier operates at 8 kHz to reduce motor acoustic noise. Short bursts of load are tolerated with a short-time current ceiling of 180%, and an over-current trip point of 216% protects the semiconductors. A closed-loop routine executes every 2 ms, and eight parameter sets allow rapid switching between operating processes. Two analog inputs, two analog outputs, eight digital inputs, two relay outputs, two transistor outputs, and four software I/O channels make up the available signal set. With no encoder feedback card installed, the unit defaults to open-loop or sensorless vector control, while inverter size code 15 identifies the internal power module capacity.
All field wiring lands on 29 control terminals, and the enclosure uses housing form factor E with standard convection cooling. Input compatibility spans three-phase 400 V AC/AC/DC lines, which simplifies connection to common plant power buses. A pair of two-channel analog stages handles speed or torque references, and the eight digital inputs accept 24 V signals for run, direction, or preset commands. Two form-C relays report fault or ready states, while the transistor outputs can switch external contactors. These onboard interfaces let the drive handle status reporting and simple external switching without extra interface modules.
