Product Description:
The 15.F5.C1E-350A axis inverter is produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. As part of an integrated automation platform, this drive converts fixed mains power into a variable AC waveform so that synchronous or induction motors can follow precise speed, torque, and positioning commands in packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and general factory cells. It uses common control functions with other Combivert modules, which helps maintain uniform behavior across different power sizes. It can serve both speed-regulated and position-controlled axes in automated equipment.
The power section is rated for a nominal supply of 400 V and expects a three-phase feeder. Under these conditions, the unit can drive motors up to 15 HP. During continuous operation, it delivers a rated output current of 24 A, while momentary overloads are permitted up to 43 A. A braking transistor is factory installed to dissipate regenerated energy, and housing form factor code E aligns the heat sink with standard control cabinets. Inverter size code 15 indicates the mechanical envelope and cooling airflow, and the drive also accepts a 230 V mixed bus for Unit B installations.
The internal gate pattern is modulated at a reference frequency of 4 kHz, and the carrier can be raised to 16 kHz when quieter motor operation or a faster current loop is needed. On the output side, synthesized motor frequency can reach 800 Hz, supporting high-speed spindles and compact servo motors. Control processing updates every 2 ms, coordinating 8 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, and 2 relay outputs across 29 numbered terminals. Eight stored parameter sets allow the drive to switch between machine setups without re-entering data. The front end can be powered from an AC or DC source, and its three-phase topology allows common-bus operation.
