Product Description:
The 15.F5.B1E-350A is an AC axis inverter produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts fixed network power into a controlled three-phase output, allowing closed-loop speed or torque control on medium-power process lines and other automation equipment. The drive is intended for motors up to 15 horsepower at 400-volt operation and includes a dedicated GTR7 braking chopper so regenerated energy can be dissipated internally during rapid deceleration cycles.
This inverter is fed by 400 V AC and has an IP20 enclosure, so it must be installed inside a cabinet that provides added protection. The power section can deliver up to 43 A of output current, which matches the thermal limit of the E-coded housing form factor. Pulse-width modulation can operate at carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz, and users can select any output frequency from zero to 800 Hz for applications that require elevated motor speed. A braking transistor is installed as standard to absorb regenerated energy during deceleration. Short-circuit and ground-fault monitoring stop the inverter immediately if line or motor faults are detected, and built-in PTC evaluation helps protect the motor from overheating.
System connectivity is provided through 17 control terminals, including five digital inputs and two relay outputs for integration with external control hardware. Parameter processing completes every 2 ms, so speed or torque loops can respond quickly to PLC commands and changing load conditions. The drive can supply a continuous output of 24 A and is intended for installation in three-phase distribution panels that follow the Combivert size-15 format. Under Unit B rating, it also supports 15-horsepower motors on 230-volt mains. Housing form factor E and inverter size code 15 complete the mechanical and electrical profile.
