Product Description:
The 15.F5.A1E-35HA is an AC inverter manufactured by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The unit functions as a variable-frequency power stage that connects a plant’s mains supply to an asynchronous or synchronous motor. It supports closed-loop speed and torque control for a single machine axis by adjusting the voltage and frequency in response to drive commands. This regulated output is suitable for conveyors, processing lines, and material-handling equipment that require controlled acceleration, steady operating speeds, and repeatable deceleration.
The drive is equipped with a Standard Board, which provides the platform’s baseline analog and digital input and output functions without additional option modules. Its thermal and electrical design supports up to 15 HP of motor power under nominal line conditions, making it suitable for medium-power pumps, fans, conveyors, and other industrial loads. An integrated braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external braking resistor during rapid deceleration. This arrangement helps control DC-link voltage when a connected motor returns energy to the inverter. The drive uses size code 15, which establishes its mounting-hole pattern and cable-entry arrangement for cabinet installation. Its E housing provides the heat sink depth and airflow clearances associated with the wider 400 V-class F5 frames. Adequate space around the housing allows cooling air to pass across the heat sink while leaving room for power and control wiring.
The drive can also operate from 230 V three-phase mains when the input configuration, connected motor, and protective devices are selected appropriately. Its control platform provides motion algorithms and a parameter structure shared with related Combivert F5 products. Stored parameter sets can be copied among similarly configured axes, helping maintain consistent speed, torque, acceleration, and deceleration settings throughout a machine. Diagnostic and tuning tools provide access to operating values, fault information, and adjustable control parameters without changing the drive’s physical configuration. Series-matched filters and communication adapters can be incorporated when the installation requires additional line conditioning or connection to an industrial control network.
