Product Description:
The 15.F5.CBE.YM00 is an inverter from KEB that belongs to the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates the speed and torque of three-phase motors so machinery can run with coordinated motion profiles, positioning accuracy, and reduced energy consumption across automated production lines. This model has two analog input channels with a 12-bit resolution, allowing the drive to read command or feedback voltages with high precision.
The drive provides eight digital input points for on/off commands, safety interlocks, and sequence cues, with support for user-selectable PNP or NPN logic. Pulse-width modulation operates at carrier frequencies up to 16 kHz, helping limit audible noise while maintaining smooth motor current. Internal electronics draw from a 24 V DC supply, allowing the control boards to remain active during interruptions to the main power source. The I/O scan repeats every 2 ms for cyclic data exchange, keeping reference changes and diagnostic bits current for the host PLC. Two analog outputs can mirror process variables for external monitoring or control. Two relay outputs can be assigned to fault, ready, or run indicators, providing configurable status signaling for the connected system.
The control terminal strip provides 29 connection points for analog, digital, and supply conductors. Motor frequency commands can reach 800 Hz, making the drive suitable for spindle or high-speed blower applications. Mechanical output is rated at 15 HP for the applicable 230 V and 400 V configurations, consistent with inverter size code 15 and housing code E. Each relay contact is rated for 30 VDC / 1 A, allowing direct actuation of contactors or signal lamps within that limit. Two transistor outputs provide fast switching for encoder emulation or speed-reference pulses, while four software I/O flags add logical flexibility. The drive stores eight parameter sets and does not require an encoder feedback card when open-loop operation is suitable. It accepts either 400 V AC mains power or compatible AC/DC bus supplies.
