14.F5.CBD-YA00 is a compact and powerful frequency inverter. It is a product of KEB Automation, a premier German supplier of industrial automation solutions. The unit is designed for AC or DC input. Voltage rating of the input is 400 Volts. For AC input, the frequency inverter first rectifies to get DC which is then converter back to AC. For DC input, the rectification stage is bypassed, and an inverter carries out DC to AC conversion. KEB has designed this F5 series unit for controlling 3-phase AC motors. At 305 to 440 Volts AC input, the nominal input current is 18.1 Amps. At 460 to 500 Volts AC input, the nominal input current is 15.4 Amps. Output power rating of the 14.F5.CBD-YA00 inverter is 11 kVA. Operators can use the unit to manage 2-pole or 4-pole AC motors.
The maximum permitted motor power rating is 7.5 kilowatts. Only shielded lines should be used for the inverter-to-motor connection. Default switching frequency for the 14.F5.CBD-YA00 inverter is 8 kilohertz. The maximum motor line length depends on operating frequency. At 8 kilohertz, KEB allows motors lines with lengths reaching up to 100 meters. Output voltage of the unit can range from 0 to mains voltage. The output is also 3-phase AC.
