Product Description:
The 14.F5.A3D-YA2E is an axis drive manufactured by KEB and included in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for cabinet installation, it converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a variable output that governs induction or servo motors on automated lines. The drive supports coordinated motion tasks such as indexing conveyors, synchronized packaging axes, and position-controlled gantries by delivering regulated voltage and frequency to match load demands.
Inverter size code 14 is paired with a general motor limit of 10 hp, which also applies to 230 V Unit B applications. The front end tolerates line voltages from 305–528 V and is optimized for a rated input of 400 V, supplied as either AC or a combination of AC and DC power. Rectification produces a DC bus that can operate between 420–746 V. Under these conditions, the unit draws 23 A and supplies 16.5 A per phase, yielding 11 kVA of output capacity. The carrier frequency is set to 8 kHz by default but can be raised to 16 kHz when lower motor noise or finer current control is required.
Protective hardware is included as standard. The gG main fuse is rated at 25 A, matching the 29.7 A short-term current rating while remaining below the 35.6 A overcurrent trip threshold that shuts down the bridge during faults. Dynamic stopping energy is routed through the integrated transistor, which can discharge up to 15 A into an external resistor with a minimum resistance of 56 Ω. An internal EMI filter limits conducted emissions on mains supplies operating at 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of ±2 Hz. The Standard Board control section monitors incoming line quality, maintains the preset switching frequency, and coordinates modulation. These functions keep braking current, fuse loading, and thermal operation within their permitted limits during continuous and intermittent duty cycles.
