The 14.F5.A1E-3ADA is an axis drive produced by KEB within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. This inverter regulates the speed and torque of three-phase motors so that conveyor lines, packaging stations, or positioning modules can follow programmed motion profiles without mechanical relays. It acts as the electrical interface between the higher-level control system and the motor, allowing commanded motion changes to be carried out electronically. By modulating output frequency and voltage, the unit closes the control loop between the automation controller and the motor shaft. That allows dynamic braking, acceleration, and speed-holding functions that are common in industrial automation.
The internal control section is delivered with a standard board, giving the drive the basic analog and digital I/O needed for speed reference, enable, and fault signaling. The drive supports motors up to 10 HP on typical three-phase mains. It uses inverter size code 14 for its current class, and housing form factor code E sets the panel depth and mounting hole pattern. Those codes help place the unit within the drive range and indicate how it fits inside a panel. For regenerative deceleration, the drive already contains a braking transistor, so only an external resistor is needed when rapid stops or overhauling loads are present.
User access is provided through an LCD operator with Serial/CAN interface, and a peak-output readout helps track transient loading. When the drive is connected to a 230 V three-phase supply, the Unit B rating keeps the stated output power available on lower mains voltage. This is useful where the same application layout is used across installations with different incoming mains levels. Code D identifies the heat-sink and fan set used on this model. The selected cooling hardware is intended for continuous-duty operation near the top of the drive’s power range.
