The 14.F5.A1E-15-A axis drive is produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed as a field-mounted inverter, it links an automation controller with a servo or induction motor and supplies the controlled voltage and frequency required for coordinated motion. Inside a machine cell, the drive translates speed or torque commands into electrical output, allowing precise axis positioning without mechanical speed changers in distributed conveyor modules and pick-and-place gantries. This arrangement places motor control close to the driven equipment while supporting centralized motion commands from the automation system.
A control section built around the Standard Board provides the basic I/O and parameter set used for general-purpose motion. The drive supports up to 10 HP of motor power, and its power stage, cooling path, and current sensors accommodate medium-duty axes such as small extruders or conveyor zones. The housing code E indicates the mechanical outline and mounting-hole arrangement used for installation in compatible switchgear layouts.
