It operates as a variable-frequency inverter that conditions incoming power and modulates the motor output for precise speed, torque, and position control in automated machinery such as conveyors, extruders, and coordinated servo axes. Incremental encoder inputs and digital I/O on the standard control board support closed-loop positioning and allow the drive to respond accurately to changing motion commands.
The power section accepts a three-phase 400 V AC supply or a corresponding DC input, and its continuous output capacity is 16.5 A. This continuous current establishes the thermal baseline for selecting suitable cables and protective fuses. During acceleration or sudden load changes, the unit can provide a peak current of 29.7 A, while its short-term overload capacity reaches 180% to handle brief torque spikes. Protective logic disables the drive output when demand reaches the 216% overcurrent trip level, helping prevent semiconductor damage under jam or stall conditions. These current limits work with the integrated braking transistor, which diverts regenerated energy from the DC link during deceleration and helps control rising bus voltage.
