Product Description:
The 14.F5.C3D-YA11 is an AC axis inverter produced by KEB for closed-loop motor control in the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Designed for centralized or distributed automation panels, the unit modulates three-phase line power to regulate induction or synchronous machines. By matching torque and speed to process demand, it helps coordinate multi-axis conveyors, positioning tables, and general machinery.
The drive provides two analog input channels for speed or torque references and two analog outputs for diagnostic variables. Eight digital inputs and two digital outputs are organized across 29 control terminals, and the selectable PNP/NPN logic accommodates different sensor wiring conventions. Internal processing updates the inputs and outputs every 2 ms, allowing tight synchronization with higher-level PLC scans. A dedicated external supply of 24 V DC keeps the control electronics active when the main power is unavailable. Power conversion uses an insulated-gate switching stage that operates at 8 kHz, limiting audible noise while maintaining accurate current regulation. The input section is rated for the 400 V voltage class. Inverter size code 14 indicates the physical frame that fits standard F5 mounting patterns.
At 230 V, the unit can deliver 10 HP continuously, while short-term loads are supported at 180% of the rated current during acceleration. An instantaneous overcurrent trip activates at 216% of the rated current to protect the power stage. A factory-installed braking transistor manages regenerative energy during deceleration, while the integrated EMI filter reduces conducted electrical noise. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, so the drive must be mounted inside a control cabinet that prevents contact with live components and protects it from contaminants. Two relay outputs simplify connections to contactors, alarms, or cooling fans. The separate digital outputs can transmit control states directly to compatible automation devices.
