The 13.F5.G1E-3B00 is an inverter module in KEB’s F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It serves as the power stage between a motion controller and the motor it commands. Within an automated cell, the unit synthesizes variable-frequency, variable-voltage three-phase output so the control system can match motor speed to real-time load conditions on conveyors, winders, and material-handling axes. By adjusting output frequency and voltage together, the drive supports controlled acceleration, steady running, and deceleration during routine machine cycles. That operating method makes the module suitable for processes that need smooth speed changes rather than fixed-speed motor operation.
An internal logic set built around inverter size code 13 sets the current-handling section and frame dimensions. The drive can energize machines rated for 7.5 HP, and that rating applies when it is connected to a 230 V mains supply. A factory-installed braking transistor routes regenerated energy during deceleration into a dump resistor instead of the DC bus. This helps protect the bus capacitors and upstream fusing when the motor returns energy during repeated speed changes. The regenerative path also supports controlled stopping on axes with frequent braking events.
Mechanical integration uses housing form factor code E, which sets the mounting hole pattern, heat sink footprint, and airflow direction inside the cabinet.
