The unit forms the power stage between a plant’s three-phase mains and the motor winding, providing a compact axis solution without external starters or contactors. It can therefore adapt motor output to changing load conditions without relying on mechanical switching methods.
The drive accepts an input supply of 400 V AC or AC/DC, allowing direct connection to standard European mains or rectified bus links. Its power section is rated for 7.5 HP, giving continuous capability for medium-frame motors used on packaging, textile, or small machining axes. Inside, insulated-gate transistors switch at 8 kHz, a carrier frequency that balances acoustic noise with heat dissipation. This switching behavior helps the drive balance audible motor noise with thermal load in typical cabinet installations.
