Product Description:
The 12.F5.H1D-LA0A is an axis inverter produced by KEB and supplied within the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Acting as a closed-loop controller, it receives control commands and converts fixed-frequency mains power into variable voltage and frequency for a connected motor. This functionality supports positioning, conveying, and pump regulation tasks on midrange machinery. The integrated braking transistor controls regenerative energy during deceleration without requiring an external brake chopper, while the chassis uses a 35 mm DIN rail mounting format for installation on cabinet backplates.
The drive housing carries an IP20 rating and corresponds to inverter size code 12, placing its terminals and heat sink within a compact cabinet footprint. Control electronics are powered by an external 24 V DC bus, which keeps the logic active during mains power interruptions. Two analog inputs provide 12-bit resolution, while two analog outputs use 11-bit resolution for reference or feedback signals. The control interface also includes eight digital inputs, two digital outputs, and two relay outputs, all connected through 29 control terminals. Output states are refreshed every 1 ms, enabling a predictable response to fast PLC cycles. The inverter supports a connected motor with a continuous output of 5 HP, making it suitable for moderate-power motion and process-control applications.
For motion sequences that require rapid index counts, the counter input accepts pulse streams up to 500 Hz. Operators can select up to 32 fixed speeds directly through the control lines, allowing machinery to change between preset operating points without relying on a continuously variable reference signal. The transistorized output stage supports a combined load of 50 mA total, providing sufficient current for compatible low-power control devices. The onboard relays can switch auxiliary circuits rated at 30 V DC and 1 A, allowing the inverter to operate contactors, indicators, or other compatible control components.
