Product Description:
The 12.F5.G1D-YP10 is an axis inverter manufactured by KEB as part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It regulates the speed and torque of three-phase motors in automated machinery, making it suitable for coordinated motion as well as standalone pump and fan applications. The unit supports encoderless operation because no feedback card is installed, and it uses the size code 12 mechanical frame. A built-in braking transistor controls the transfer of regenerative energy to an external resistor when rapid deceleration is required.
The enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for cabinet mounting while preventing access by fingers and solid objects larger than 12 mm. Output frequency can be adjusted from 0 to 400 Hz, providing sufficient bandwidth for standard induction motors or high-speed spindles. The general motor power rating reaches 5 HP, and the internal input circuit is marked A1 to match KEB control wiring conventions. Continuous operation is permitted from -10 to 45 °C; operation outside this range requires derating or forced cooling. The incoming mains frequency may be 50 Hz or 60 ±2 Hz, allowing the drive to operate with common industrial power systems. Power terminals accept conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 4 mm² and require a tightening torque of 0.6 Nm. Vibration class 3M1 indicates that the structure can withstand oscillations commonly encountered on factory floors.
Electromagnetic compatibility includes burst immunity of 4 kV, an electrostatic discharge tolerance of 8 kV, and a radiated field withstand level of 10 V/m. These limits help protect the control electronics from common industrial electrical disturbances. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 2000 m above sea level without altitude correction. The permitted ambient relative humidity ranges from 5% to 85%, which helps prevent condensation from forming on the internal circuit boards. An output frequency card is not installed, so command signals are processed by the general-purpose control core. The inverter complies with the electromagnetic compatibility guidelines established for the Combivert F5 series.
