It is intended to regulate induction or synchronous motors in automated equipment by converting fixed-frequency mains power into variable-frequency, variable-voltage output. Through open-loop flux-vector control or an optional closed-loop configuration when a feedback sensor is added, the unit modulates torque and speed so production machinery can follow process demands without mechanical throttling.
This inverter is sized for motors up to 5 HP, delivering continuous power within that capacity. It generates carrier-based output over a frequency range of 0 to 400 Hz, while the output phase voltage tracks the supply and can reach 3 × 0 to Uin. Input compatibility spans industrial grids operating at 50/60 ±2 Hz, allowing the drive to operate on either frequency without reconfiguration. A maximum switching frequency of 16 kHz allows smoother current waveforms and reduces acoustic noise. When the output frequency falls below 6 Hz, the drive maintains rated torque through its minimum full-load frequency setting. The factory-mounted braking transistor supports the dissipation of regenerative energy, protecting the DC bus during rapid deceleration.
