The 12.F5.CBD-3A0A is an axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. This compact inverter converts three-phase mains power into controlled motor voltage and frequency, allowing a PLC to regulate speed and torque on a single machine axis. Within an automation cell, the unit can meet the dynamic requirements of synchronous or induction motors. Its slim housing supports installation in panels where available mounting space is limited. The drive uses a heat sink to transfer internally generated heat to the surrounding air.
The drive processes velocity and torque commands through an analog input with an 11-bit resolution, while its digital inputs have a 1 ms scan interval for capturing fast control events. A built-in braking transistor controls the transfer of regenerated energy to a suitable braking resistor.
