Product Description:
The 12.F5.CBB-YM00 is an inverter drive produced by KEB and supplied under the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. Installed in control panels, it modulates the voltage and frequency delivered to three-phase motors, enabling closed-loop speed and torque control for automated machines such as packaging stations, conveyors, and positioning axes. The unit’s B-size housing simplifies cabinet layout, while the integrated I/O block allows direct coupling to plant controllers without auxiliary interface modules.
The inverter can energize machines up to 5 HP and generates carrier pulses at a maximum switching rate of 16 kHz, giving the drive quiet acoustic performance and fine current resolution. Motor speed is trimmed over an output range that reaches 800 Hz, while control tasks refresh every 2 ms through the built-in processor. Internal electronics are powered from a dedicated 24 V DC supply rail, keeping the logic active and isolated when main power is removed. Two analog outputs with 11-bit resolution transmit speed or torque feedback, and two unbuffered digital outputs share a 50 mA current budget for status signaling. Additional field wiring is supported through size-12 power modules and the B-size enclosure.
Two analog inputs sample command signals at 12-bit resolution, and the control board provides 8 digital inputs for start, stop, jog, or preset selection. Relay circuitry includes two form-C contacts rated at 1 A at 30 VDC for interlock chains or fault annunciation. System configuration is stored in eight parameter sets, and four software I/O flags provide the PLC with virtual bits for mode changes. Encoder feedback hardware is absent, so speed estimation relies on the flux model. The terminal strip provides 29 terminals that accommodate the power, control, and relay connections required by the axis.
