The 12.F5.A1D-YRA0 is an axis drive produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. It converts a fixed or rectified mains supply into a regulated three-phase output for controlling the speed and torque of servo and induction motors in automated machinery. The unit combines control logic, signal processing, and power electronics on a single chassis, allowing it to support closed-loop motion tasks without additional interface cards. Its integrated design also reduces the number of separate components required within a control cabinet.
The standard control board provides eight digital inputs with a scan time of 1 ms. Two analog inputs have a resolution of 12-bit, while two analog outputs have a resolution of 10-bit. The analog channels support voltage or current signals, and the outputs use a pulse-modulation frequency of 3.4 kHz to provide smooth reference signals for connected devices. A separate encoder port accepts pulse streams up to 300 kHz and has an internal termination resistance of 150 Ω. No encoder feedback card is installed, so the port is intended for compatible incremental sensors. The I/O arrangement corresponds to inverter size code 12.
