Product Description:
The 12.F5.G1D-YP00 is an AC inverter produced by KEB for the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. The module acts as the power stage between the plant’s three-phase supply and a motor, delivering controlled voltage and frequency so that motion systems can accelerate, decelerate, or maintain speed under digital commands. Used on automated conveyors, mixers, and gantry axes, it matches mechanical output to real-time load while limiting energy consumption and mechanical wear within production equipment.
For the mains connection, the drive accepts a nominal supply of 400 V, which aligns with common industrial low-voltage networks and avoids the need for an external transformer. Its power stage supports up to 5 HP of continuous motor output without derating. The enclosure is rated at IP20, providing protection against finger contact with internal electrical components while requiring installation inside a suitable cabinet. Overall dimensions of 90 × 250 × 181 mm allow the unit to fit within narrow column enclosures while leaving space for wiring and ventilation. Speed regulation is performed by open-loop flux vector control, while an optional field-oriented closed-loop mode supports applications that require more precise torque response.
The internal braking circuit uses a GTR7 braking transistor so surplus kinetic energy from decelerating loads can be dissipated through an external resistor instead of being returned to the mains. Heat removal relies on standard air cooling, so unobstructed ventilation must be maintained around the heat sink fins to prevent excessive operating temperatures. An inverter size code of 12 groups the unit with F5 frames that share compatible accessory kits and wiring points. Because the drive has no encoder feedback card installed, its current configuration supports sensorless operation. The available plug-in option slot can accommodate a feedback interface when closed-loop motor control is needed.
