The inverter accepts 400 V AC input power and can drive motors up to 5 HP. A switching carrier of 16 kHz helps reduce audible noise while improving current resolution. Protection against stalled loads is handled by an overcurrent trip set at 216% of rated output, and the logic section scans field I O every 1 ms for fast updates. A type GTR7 braking transistor supports regenerated energy handling through an external resistor connection.
