Product Description:
The 11.56.211 drive is produced by KEB and is part of the F5 Combivert Axis Drives series. This chassis-mount inverter controls individual motion axes in automated lines, coordinating acceleration, constant-speed running, and braking cycles. By converting a fixed three-phase supply into a programmable voltage and frequency, it lets the machine match motor behavior to process requirements while limiting stress on mechanical components. The unit is suited to applications where repeatable speed changes and controlled stopping are required throughout regular operating cycles.
It accepts a three-phase input and is wired for 3 x 400 V AC, a level common to industrial power systems. The incoming mains frequency of 50 or 60 Hz is rectified and converted by the inverter, then switched at carrier frequencies selectable up to 0.83 kHz; lower settings reduce switching loss, while higher settings improve current quality. During continuous duty, the power stage supplies 7.5 A to the motor terminals, corresponding to 5.2 kVA of apparent power and supporting mechanical loads that demand 3.0 kW of shaft power. This arrangement gives the drive a stable electrical basis for speed regulation, load changes, and repeated start-stop operation.
Upstream conductors are safeguarded by a 20 A main fuse, and an internal braking transistor handles regenerated energy without external hardware. The DC link tolerates transient peaks to 720 V, and all ratings remain valid up to 3000 m site elevation. Motor and line cables up to 2.5 mm² cross-section terminate directly at spring clamps, while the open frame carries an IP00 rating and must be installed in a filtered, ventilated control enclosure. That enclosure protects the open power section from accidental contact and from airborne contamination inside the cabinet.
